Reggae as a part of the caribbean culture?

In your opinion how would you consider reggae music as a part of the caribbean culture or way of life?

It is a bond in the caribbean culture and community. It is something we all can relate to and terms used in the songs. We know the meaning of what they are saying and it is like our language with a riddim and beat to it.

I think reggae plays quite an important role as a part of the Caribbean culture because when you look at it..reggae is one of the bonds...as in the type of music that brings our culture together. And as the person above stated the lyrics are quite relatable in so many ways...the words used and the rhythm methods are very interesting and that is what draws the Caribbean people together.

Reggae is a part of the Caribbean's culture. It plays a huge role in our way of life and influences many different people to stay together and come together. We all can relate to the lyrics of a Reggae track one way or the other. like Gabididu said, "it is like our language with a riddim and beat to it."

The Rastafarian food, the clothing style, Reggae is embraced by the Caribbean just as much as hip hop is embraced by young black males in america
