What do the young people think about the old reggae?

The young people of today detest the old reggae. They prefer the vulgar and loud type of reggae, which they are able to wine and dance to.

I'm 15 and i like alot of old reggae music. I love the concious vybe and the smooth riddim. I do also like most songs of todays generation and the riddim because yo are able to dance and move to them. However i do disagree with the messages they send out...Buh de tune dem BAD!...LOL

Old school reggae is better than the newer ones..mainly because of simplicity. back then it waz just about bassline..n more bassline!!

old reggae i prefer because very few young reggae artistes value the true meaning of reggae. the messages they potray in their lyrics are mostly of vulgarity and negativity. they speak about guns and women which i find is disrespectful and sometimes when i hear these lyrics i think of the world as disrespectful.

Its an opportunity for me to dance and keep fit. You know we ladies have to keep fit. Plus its a major part of socializing for me. Reggae is run and the culture gives me an identity to the outside world
