reggae music has a major impact towards the growth and development of the youth of the caribbean's adolesence...the artist write these songs to express how they fell about their everyday society and what affects the the most...my opinion towards this topic is that reggae music helps in forming these individuals and could show them what is happening in their envirnment and how they play their roll in it...

there are many types of impacts which reggae has on the caribbean culture. they could be economical, social, psychological, financial impacts. the economical and financial impact involves the revenue and imcomes generated as a result of the production and sale of reggae music as well entertainment generated by the tours undertaken by the various artistes. another impact is the internationalization of reggae music. it has more/less spread the culture of the caribbean. reggae music's internationalization had spread the ideas of us caribbean folk throughout. the psychological aspect of reggae has created black consciousness and empowering the less priviledged people in a way to uplift them from abject poverty. it has produced a median for upliftment. it has created an avenue for people who have been opressed to express their feelings and objections to the "rat race". so because of the success of reggae music, people are more powered. they can see themselves being on equal terms and level as the more affluent people of the world. the psychological and social impacts that reggae music has made is that it has increased the level of consciousness of people who are not the artiste! the artists creativity influence the listener to better understand the origin of the lyrics delivered to them. reggae music also influences the activities taking place in the caribbean today. rastafarianism has increased over the years as a result of reggae music's messages.
